¡Feliz año 2010!

Happy New Year from Madrid! There is a custom in Madrid to celebrate the New Year by eating one grape for each chime as the bell tolls midnight. It sounds easy, but you have to eat the grapes really fast! There are also all kinds of things you do to ensure that you will have luck in the new year, such as using a yellow napkin at dinner, have a fresh cherry in your sparking water, and eat lentils just after midnight. Does your family have any New Year's traditions?

Our tradition is; the first word you say after midnight on New Years Eve is "White Rabbit".

I don't know why, may parents must be weird!

Hope you are having a great trip.
